The Continuous Quality Improvement Report for the 2003-2004 school year demonstrates the ongoing accomplishments of the Children's Hospital of Austin/Austin Independent School District Student Health Services Program. All areas of the report show the positive affects and improvements taking place as a result of the Program. Some of the highlights include:
- AISD achieved a 95 percent immunization rate for the district overall.
- Parent contacts by the health team have increased by 16.3 percent.
- Asthma case management serves more than 1,200 students. Breathing difficulty episodes decreased by 57.82 over the prior year.
- Health education by nurses for students, staff and parents increased by 14 percent over the prior year.
